APA Report Evaluates Comprehensive and Sustainability Plans Addressing Public Health

In a report published by the American Planning Association (APA), Ricklin, A., et al. (2012) emphasize the need to explore ways in which governments include public health goals and objectives as part of the comprehensive planning process. The report identified food access as one of the top 10 most-cited public health topics in the evaluated sustainability plans. Kimberley Hodgson, AICP, founder of Cultivating Healthy Places and a Food Lab research partner, served on the advisory committee for the report.
