Institute for Sustainable Communities Offering Food Systems Training to Senior Officials

The Institute for Sustainable Communities (ISC) is offering training to selected teams of senior officials and key stakeholders from 12 U.S. cities and metropolitan regions to improve, expand and accelerate cities’ efforts to support urban agriculture and build more sustainable food systems.

This workshop is an extension of ISC’s broader Sustainable Communities Leadership Academy (SCLA).  Their program focuses on building the capacity of communities to promote and scale-up local solutions to the global challenges of climate protection and sustainable development.  To find out more about their approach and plans to advance local solutions, visit their website here.

Dr. Raja will give a plenary talk at this event to be held in Memphis, TN on Thursday September 18, 2013.
