Samina Raja Ph.D., 2014 Dale Prize Scholar

Samina Raja, UB food systems researcher, wins 2014 Williams R. and June Dale Prize for efforts to promote healthy cities.

The Dale Prize for Excellence in Urban and Regional Planning, awarded annually by Cal Poly Pomona’s Department of Urban and Regional Planning,  recognizes planning excellence, creates dialogue between scholars and practitioners, and enriches the education of planning students.  The theme for the 2014 Dale Prize was: “We Are What We Eat: Food Systems and the Healthy City.” Raja is the recipient of the 2014 Dale Scholar Prize, while Heather Wooten of ChangeLab Solutions in Oakland won the 2014 Dale Practitioner Prize.  Raja and Wooten will
