A significant burden of inequities tied to community health and food systems are experienced in the Global South. For this reason, the UB Food Lab chooses to work into the Global South, including in South Asia (India). The lab team partners with academic partners (e.g. University of Kashmir), civil society groups (e.g. RUAF), as well as international agencies (e.g. UN FAO) in executing its work in the Global South. The lab’s work in the Global South is supported in part by the UB Community of Excellence for Global Health Equity.
