Danielle Anderson is entering her final semester as a Master of Urban Planning student at the University at Buffalo, specializing in economic development and food systems. She also received her bachelor’s degree in Economics from UB in 2015. Her interests include working on international development projects to increase access to clean water sources in the global south, improving deteriorating water infrastructure, and freshwater conservation. During the past two years she has gained knowledge in local and international planning techniques while developing skills in research, survey design, data collection, team coordination, and project management. Prior to working at the Food Lab Danielle participated in a studio focused on community level food systems in Kerala, India where she spent time learning about local food security, government policy, and factors that affect the local food system. Outside of the Food Lab Danielle enjoys being outside, traveling, being with friends, and cooking. She hopes to transfer the skills learned in the food lab into the global water sector.
