Camile Brown is a senior studying Environmental Design with a minor in Architecture at UB’s School of Architecture and Planning. In 2013 Camile achieved her first degree in Architectural Technology at New York City College of Technology. She started interning at the Food Lab in June 2017. She hopes to gain a deeper understanding about the role that food systems play within the planning realm. She previously volunteered at It Takes a Village Action Organization (ITAV), an “organization that transforms the lives of hundreds through comprehensive job, spiritual, emotional and physical counseling among many other services”. Camile hopes to further join the knowledge gained with her passion for green design and housing, because improving one will improve the other.
Camile attended the 2016 Habitat III Conference in Quito, Ecuador. The deliberation of the New Urban Agenda enabled her to have a global perspective on the goals various countries will strive to meet to ensure sustainability for all.
