Alexandra Judelsohn

Alex is a Research Associate in the Food Systems Planning and Healthy Communities Lab where her research focuses on the link between planning and public health. Currently Alex supports global projects in the lab and is also currently conducting research on the food and health experiences of the community of refugees born in Burma in Buffalo. Most recently, Alex traveled to Kashmir to explore the link between land use changes and the production and consumption of haakh, a leafy green vegetable.

Alex holds a Masters in Urban and Regional Planning from the University at Buffalo and a BA in Media Studies from Emerson College. While in graduate school Alex worked with the Community for Global Health Equity and Food Lab. Prior to UB, Alex worked as the Community Garden Coordinator at Grassroots Gardens of Western New York.
